The committee of Stocksbridge Rugby Club contacted me on the recommendation of the owner of their local Builders Merchant. The guys needed the floors laying in their new changing and shower areas. After a site visit I recommended a strong mix screed (because of all the rugby studs that would be going over the floors), also I was told that no other finish was going to be laid over the screed only paint, this is not recommend.

Floor screeding is a leveling process in preparation for carpet, laminate, tiling etc. In the shower areas a section was shuttered and the floor screeded to ‘falls’ away from the changing rooms so any water would run into the drain which was screeded lower than the falling standing area.

It all went very well and I have been invited to the opening party of the new changing rooms!
